Providing Excellence In Quality Through Geothermal Heating
The heat and cooling that can be achieved through the use of geothermal pumps is known as geothermal heating. From the time of the Romans, this has been in use. In fact, the Romans utilized this to heat buildings and spas by the use of sources like hot water or steam which exist near the earth's surface. Geothermal heating has grown rapidly as one of the sectors of renewable energy. Geothermal energy or heat is generated when the earth's heat is used to directly heat water. The water acts as a medium of conduction. It brings the heat to another location. The water can also be used for direct heating for example, consider the case of green houses that have hot water pipes.
Now, lets discuss the working of geothermal heating. The process of geothermal heating involves the extraction of heat energy from the ground and it's movement in to a building. This transfer of heat from the surface of earth into the building needs a cycle of evaporation followed by compression, condensation and then expansion. The heat transfer medium used is a refrigerant. The cycle of heating starts when liquid refrigerant that is cold passes through water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger. It further absorbs heat from the source of low temperature. The refrigerant evaporates into gas as soon as the heat is absorbed. This gaseous refrigerant then passes via a compressor. It is pressurized there. Thus, it's temperature is raised to about 180 degrees F. The hot gas circulates through refrigerant to air heat exchanger. Then, heat is removed as cooler air passes over it. So the warm air gets delivered in the building through way of the blower and duct system. The refrigerant releases it's heat energy into air. It returns to the water to refrigerant heat exchanger. Here, the same process is repeated. The production of hot water is the by-product of the heating process. The by-product is delivered to the heater through small pump. Now lets throw some light on the process that would help to heat your house. Throughout the year, external temperatures change with seasons. However, the underground temperature does not go through any variation. Under the frost line, a moderate and constant level of temperature is maintained. A loop of piping is created through the area outside the house which is under the frost line. The heat sink can be used to heat or cool your house. The earth loop carries the heat from the earth loop to an indoor place. Then, the heat is compressed from there and distributed in your house. In the summer season, you would have to remove the heat from the house and send it back to the earth loop outside the house. Geothermal heating process is quite simple. It has become popular. As a result, it is used very commonly these days. The latest technology allows you to use the system of heating and cooling efficiently. Because of this facility, your comfort is maintained. So go ahead and opt for this process that provides you with excellent service and superb quality.
