Commercial Heat Pumps
Transforming Wasteful Energy Into Use Through Commercial Heat Pumps
Just as cooling a room is important for comfort, heating water is important too. The heat pumps that are used for heating of water are known as commercial heat pumps. These pumps heat the water with the help of the waste heat that is recovered from an overheated area. This way, it is also designed to reduce the heating costs. The commercial heat pumps are usually used in restaurants, hotels, and schools. They are also used by those projects which have a regular demand for hot water. Heat recovery for space cooling is the specific requirement of these commercial setups. The primary goal of these commercial heat pumps is to cool a place and is typically used for product storage or comfort. The secondary goal of these pumps is to reduce the costs of heating by simply reducing the load on the boilers. Such commercial pumps dissipate the waste heat to the circuit of hot water. These machines dont require an external condenser. They are controlled and sized on space cooling demand. The heating of water stops automatically as soon as the demand for cooling water is satisfied. There are supplements existing in these devices that help in reducing the costs. The commercial heat pumps work on the principle of transforming waste energy into useful heat. The most important purpose of these pumps is to heat water. This means that the primary goal of such devices is to make hot water supply available. The heat pumps can produce hot water up to seventy degree centigrade. This hot water can be used to preheat the incoming water in the mains or even directly. These pumps take energy from the ambient air. Thus, the pumps are particularly suitable for cool climates. This energy can also be taken from an internal space. This would recover the waste heat. Depending on their operational functions, these commercial heat pumps can be divided into four major categories namely: heating, heating and cooling pumps, integrated heat pumps and heat pump water heaters. Lets briefly understand each category. Heating pumps are those pumps that provide water or space heating. Heating and cooling pumps provide both space cooling and heating. The integrated heat pumps are used for space cooling and heating, recovery of exhaust air heat and water heating. Lastly, the heat pump water heaters are used solely for water heating. Such water heaters often use the air from their surroundings as a source of heat. In commercial buildings, these heat pump systems are installed centrally and connected to a hydraulic system or an air duct. They can also be connected to a multi zone system where multiple units of heat pumps, which are placed in different zones of the building. They provide individual space conditioning. Thus, commercial heat pumps are extremely efficient in large buildings and are able to reduce the energy consumption considerably. So go ahead and opt for it now. |
